Comprehensive as it may be, SAX200 still lacks an item or two from Géry Dumoulin's wish list. For instance, the second saxtuba that has known to survive, currently at the Metropolitan, proved too expensive to be shipped from NYC. As far as saxtuba's are concerned, we're down to the one from Bad Säckingen:

Another object we have not been able to trace is Sax's goudronnière or tar vaporizer. The SAX200 exhibition would just come one notch closer to being perfect if it included such a device, which Sax designed to help his relatives but might have had quite the opposite effect...
We welcome any clue or tip as to where such an extraordinary object could be found!
