SAX200 curator not afraid of serpents and monsters

Last week, SAX200 curator Géry Dumoulin accompanied 18 instruments to Venice. The objects are lent to the Fondazione Prada for their Art or Sound exhibition (June 7 - November 3).

Looking at the stuff they wanted from our collection, the exhibition might as well have been entitled Animal or Sound. The mim lends out 3 different types of serpents and 6 "monster buccins".

But Géry would not have been Géry had he not included also a beautiful 6-valved trumpet by Adolphe Sax.
